April was a fast-paced month at Altius Labs - full of real progress both on and off the track.

As we push forward toward building faster, more scalable execution for Web3, we’re excited to share some highlights from the journey.

🔍 Finding (and Fixing) Hidden Bottlenecks

At Altius Labs, performance isn’t just a metric - it’s our foundation.

While integrating our Parallel Scalable Storage (PSS) into Paradigm’s Reth client, we noticed an opportunity to optimize how Reth handles database access during account lookups.

After a detailed tracing and investigation, we optimized the logic and achieved a 44% reduction in disk I/O - with no changes to consensus rules or virtual machine logic.

This work not only improves execution speed but also shows how small, precise optimizations can have a system-wide impact.

🤝 Setting the Pace in Dubai

During #TOKEN2049 Dubai, we hosted a few private side events together with Berachain and Ethena, bringing together key figures from across the Web3 ecosystem.

These weren’t just networking opportunities - they were deep technical discussions where industry leaders explored partnership potential and collaborated on solutions that will advance modular execution for Layer 1s, Layer 2s, Rollups, and decentralized applications (dApps).

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us in Dubai, and we’re excited to keep accelerating alongside you.

With over 100 side events and more than 20 meetings throughout the week, Dubai was buzzing - but only a handful of conversations truly focused on the future builders of this space. One of those moments was at the SHARD Summit, where Annabelle Huang took the stage to share Altius’ vision for navigating the future of L1s, L2s, Rollups, and infrastructure.

🏎️ Launching the Paddock Club

April also marked the official launch of the Altius Paddock Club Ambassador Program - designed to empower early supporters and help us drive awareness globally.

After reviewing more than 4,000 applications, we selected ~100 ambassadors across 50+ markets.

These ambassadors will play a critical role as we move toward mainnet and beyond.

🎧 Behind the Screens: A New Podcast Series

We also kicked off Behind the Screens - a new podcast where our CTO Anit Chakraborty and Head of Growth Ivan Paskar go beyond buzzwords to discuss the real engineering challenges behind building next-generation execution layers.

This series goes beyond industry jargon to address real engineering challenges in high-performance blockchain infrastructure, covering:

• How Altius achieves speed without security trade-offs
• Rethinking blockchain for real-world usability

👥 Growing the Altius Team

Finally, April was a huge month for team growth. We conducted over 50 interviews and are in the final stages of onboarding new team members across various roles.

Expect formal announcements soon as we continue to expand our capabilities - without compromising the quality and precision that define Altius.

🔧 Gearing Up for What’s Next

Looking ahead to May/June, we’re preparing to pull back the curtain even further.

We’re gearing up to reveal the first real-world showcase of Altius execution capabilities, which will become the fundamental to announce our first partnership later on when the time is right, bringing real-world validation to the system we’ve been quietly building for months.

It’s going to be a big moment for us, and we can’t wait to share it with the community.
